‘Whispers Of Joe-Pye’ / Spotted Joe-Pye Weed Painting

Whispers of Joe-Pye is an original piece of Spotted Joe-Pye Weed art painted on reclaimed wood. Inspired by Iowa's native prairies, this botanical painting celebrates one of North America's most valuable wildflowers for butterflies and pollinators.

Each piece is hand painted to celebrate one of North America's most important pollinator plants while preserving the warmth and natural character of reclaimed wood. Painted by hand on reclaimed wood, this piece features the soft lavender blooms of Spotted Joe-Pye Weed, one of the Midwest's most important native wildflowers for butterflies, bees, and other pollinators.

The natural grain and weathered character of the reclaimed wood become part of the artwork itself, creating warmth, texture, and a timeless connection to the landscape. Loose, expressive brushstrokes allow the flowers to feel as though they're gently swaying in a late summer breeze.

Part of The Painted Prairie Collection, this original artwork celebrates the native plants that make Iowa's prairies so extraordinary. As with every painting in the collection, 10% of each sale is donated to Iowa conservation efforts, helping preserve the landscapes that inspired this piece.

Whether displayed on a shelf, mantel, or gallery wall, Whispers of Joe-Pye brings a touch of nature indoors and serves as a reminder that beauty often grows quietly in the places we least expect.

As part of my Painted Prairie Collection, 10% of every sale is donated to Iowa conservation efforts, helping presrve and protect native prairie habitats for future generations.
